Making Your Quirks Work

As a child, people would always ask me about the dot in the middle of my cheek. I struggled with self esteem as I tried to work around a large mole on my face, but over time, I learned how to make it work. Believe it or not, my mole has actually become the focal point of my modeling career. Critics have said that it gives my look a little personality. It isn't always easy to feel beautiful, especially if something about you is different. I decided to create a beauty blog dedicated to helping others learn how to make their quirks work for them.

Considering A Body Piercing? Ensure Professionalism By Looking For These Things About A Shop

by Derek Little

From your eyebrows to your toes, there are all kinds of places to modify your body with piercings. The modern interest in body modification has brought about many new ways to accent your personal style if you are into piercings and there are many body piercing shops out there who will help you get whatever piercing you want. However, not every piercing shop will be worthy of your business. Even though body piercing is often regarded by consumers as a novel thing, going to the wrong shop that does not follow safe practices can actually put your health in danger. Make sure you only trust the most qualified and professional companies, like Pierce Me, with the piercings you want by looking for these things when you visit a piercing shop.

The shop's employees take their time to explain the risks of certain piercing procedures.

Even something as simple as having your ears pierced can come along with some risks, and these risks are always going to be covered by true professionals before they perform a service. If you step into a piercing shop, tell them what you are interested in having done, and they are quick to pull you to a chair without going over details, it is best to find another more professional place to go.

The piercing shop is clean and the tools used are sterile.

Cleanliness is definitely important with piercings because piercings performed with contaminated, dirty, or previously used needles and tools can put you at risk of infection and even blood-transmitted diseases. Before you select a shop to do your piercing, stop in at a few and just have a look around. Ask a staff member:

  • if they use new needles with every piercing
  • if employees are required to wear gloves during the procedure
  • if there is an autoclave on site for sterilizing piercing tools that are reused

The shop has a genuinely good reputation among other customers.

When it comes to body piercing and modification, there is a lot of value in trusting the experience of other customers. In most cases, prior customers of a shop can tell you a lot of valuable information, such as how gentle the employees where during the procedure, how private the piercing rooms are, how clean the place was throughout, and so on. Therefore, checking out a body piercing shop's reviews on their social media pages and on Google can offer a lot of insight.
