About Me

Making Your Quirks Work

As a child, people would always ask me about the dot in the middle of my cheek. I struggled with self esteem as I tried to work around a large mole on my face, but over time, I learned how to make it work. Believe it or not, my mole has actually become the focal point of my modeling career. Critics have said that it gives my look a little personality. It isn't always easy to feel beautiful, especially if something about you is different. I decided to create a beauty blog dedicated to helping others learn how to make their quirks work for them.

3 Options For Concealing Your Wrinkles And Fine Lines

by Derek Little

As you have gotten older, you might have more wrinkles and fine lines on your face than you ever had in the past. Even though this is totally natural, it could be causing you to feel a little bit insecure and self-conscious about your appearance. You don't have to feel bad about how you look as you age, however. Instead, consider following these tips to help you conceal your wrinkles and fine lines.

1. Change the Way You Do Your Makeup

You might have used some of the same makeup techniques for many years, but now that you want to conceal the signs of aging, it might be time to switch things up a little bit. For one thing, you should be careful about the foundation that you use; particularly thick formulas can actually cause your wrinkles to appear more prominent. Instead, consider using a lighter foundation. Another good makeup trick for concealing your wrinkles and fine lines is to play up your favorite features. For example, you can focus on playing up your eyes with a smokey eye or wearing a bright lipstick. Then, you can all attention to your favorite features and away from the wrinkles and fine lines that you are trying to conceal.

2. Try a Good Aging Cream

There are a ton of products on the market that are designed to help you cover up your wrinkles and fine lines. For example, a good aging cream can actually help with smoothing out and moisturizing your skin, and it can help make your wrinkles and fine lines a lot less obvious. You may have to try a few brands before you find the one that works best for you, or you can ask your dermatologist for recommendations. Once you settle on a good aging cream, you might find that not only does your skin look better, but it might feel a whole lot smoother and better as well.

3. Look Into Treatment Options

If you are looking to take further steps to help conceal your wrinkles and fine lines, you can consider looking into your professional treatment options. For example, you can ask your doctor about Botox injections to find out if they might be right for you. Of course, it is important to see the right medical professional and look at the pros and cons before choosing one of these types of treatments, but if you do, you might find that it will work well for you.
